The Dr Pepper Snapple Group is the nation's third-largest soda maker, with Coca-Cola Co and PepsiCo being the larger competition ahead of them. Although, there is one difference with Dr Pepper Snapple Group - they are more concentrated on the North American market, while their competition is more globally focused.
The Dr Pepper Snapple Group will work with a combination of promotions through the outlets of new commercials, celebrity appearances, and reality television marketing spots, including sports related marketing tie-ins - all of which will work to grow the sales of their products, this summer.
The Dr Pepper Snapple Group is doing well for itself this year, as many investors are recommending the stock as a buy, or a strong buy. The company also posted a
quarterly profit for the beginning of 2010.
Trebilcock said that he expected the sales of the tea sector of the Snapple business to rise in the second quarter, helped by promotional efforts in the television show Celebrity Apprentice.
Overall, it is estimated that the big players in the soda industry will hit promotional efforts hard this year - to drum up sales for their products. As an expectation of this, soda sales should rise for this summer.
